Gill's Experience

This book is about my experience of HER2 positive stage 4 breast cancer. When I was diagnosed in May 2016 it had already spread to my liver, bones, lungs and lymph nodes. After a year it spread to my brain. I have had to readjust my expectations of what is possible for me in my work and life, while living with the side effects of the treatment which is keeping me alive. For how long?? Along the way I have learned a lot. About cancer, NHS and other integrative and alternative treatments, and about mental attitude.

In this book I show how my outlook and knowledge have shaped my experience of cancer in a positive way. Paradoxically cancer has enriched my life in many ways. And, however long I may have, I want to live as positively and joyfully as possible.

I hope this will be helpful for people with cancer, their colleagues, friends and families, and for coaches who will increasingly have clients who are going through cancer themselves, or who are supporting someone who is.

You must read this book. Gill is inspiring, amazing and wise.
